Sleep Disorders in Children

Much is written about sleepwalking children and keeping them safe. Sleeptalking is also one of the sleep disorders in children. However, it is much less harmful, since the child usually remains still. Sleeptalking often begins soon after the child has fallen asleep. Sometimes they will talk while dreaming, and occasionally they will even respond to questions while they are asleep. Since sleeptalking is not dangerous, there is little reason to be concerned about it or try to eliminate it. However, it is known that noise seems to increase episodes of sleeptalking, so it may help to make the sleeping room as quiet as possible.
